Hallahan-Haley Tandem Advances To Consolation Semifinals At Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The doubles team of Kaitlin Hallahan (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast) and Emma Haley (Triffin, Ohio/Calvert) won a match in the consolation round to lead the women's tennis team at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday.

After falling to a doubles team from Bucknell, Hallahan and Haley rebounded to take a match from a doubles team from Northeast Conference rival Fairleigh Dickinson, 8-4. The duo moves into the semifinals of the consolation round of Flight "A".

Cheslea Johnson (Downington, Pa./21st Century Cyber School) and Emily Bolchoz (Tequesta, Fla./Kolbe Academy) lost to Duquesne and Fairleigh Dickinson in Flight "A".

In the Flight "B" doubles, Ashley Wentzel (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) lost to Duquense and Bucknell while Alissa Thayer (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) and Samantha Dupaya (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spading) lost consecutive matches to doubles teams from Loyola.

Due to rain early in the day, two rounds of doubles were played instead of singles. Saturday will start with two rounds of singles followed by one round of doubles.
