The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's cross country teams
competed at the Salty Seadog Invitational Saturday in Annapolis,
Md. The men's team finished sixth in the event while the women
placed eighth. Matt Logie topped the men's finishers with a
ninth-place mark while Liz Kessler was the Mount's top finisher,
placing 37th in the field of 94.
For the women, Kessler posted a time of 25:02.29 on the 6K
course to lead the team for the second-straight week. Samantha
Willox was the Mount's second-best finisher with a time of
26:11.11. Those two were followed by Brianne Vozzella, Jessica
Rafeedie and Caitlin Greene.
On the men's side, Logie completed the 8K course in a time of
25:41.44 to finish ninth overall. Morgan Sowell was the Mount's
next finisher, placing 31st with a mark of 26:50.48, followed by
Dustin Bauer, Justin Brackett and Kyle Ryan.
The Mount returns to action on Sept. 29th at the Paul Short
Invitational hosted by Lehigh.
