EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 3, 2026) – Hitting the road for the next two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) games, Mount St. Mary's travels to Buffalo to play Canisius.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Kevin Whitty had his best game for scoring goals as a Mountaineer, scoring the overtime winner as the team picked up their first MAAC win, defeating Manhattan 10-9. The senior posted five goals for the game.
- Whitty and Brody Atkinson are tied for the team lead in points at 31 each. Atkinson has the most goals with 23 and Whitty the most assists with 20.
- Aidan Kilduff (13), Chris Grimaldi (13), and Carter Quested (11) also join the Atkinson/Whitty duo as double-digit goal scorers.
- Nicolas Belmonte crossed 100 faceoff wins for the season with nine wins over the Jaspers.
- Dylan Sander increased his team best caused turnover total to 12.
SCOUTING CANISIUS
- After defeats to Sacred Heart and Siena, Canisius is looking to reverse a losing streak and maintain a spot in the MAAC top five to qualify for the tournament.
- Versatile on offense, 19 different Golden Griffins have points this season. Peter Biglin, Quinn Huber, and Carson Christy are tied for the team lead in points with 15 each.
- Four goalies have spent time in the net, led by Sam Kosloski's 50 saves. Alexis Simard has the most caused turnovers with 12.

- In 23 prior meetings, the Mount is 16-7 all-time against Canisius.
- The Golden Griffins have worked hard to level the field, winning five of the past seven, including the last two meetings.
