EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 24, 2026) – Following a solid start to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse returns home to Waldron Family Stadium, seeking a 2-0 start as they take on Marist.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Facing the Merrimack Warriors last Saturday, the Mountaineers secured a 17-9 win with a great early start, jumping out to a 10-4 halftime lead. Brooke Molchanoff produced five goals while MK Allingham hit her career high with four, and Ava Kraszewski matched her career high of three for the trio of hat tricks.
- Camille Thomas had a save percentage north of 50 percent, stopping 10 of Merrimack's 19 shots on goal. The junior has 63 saves for the season.
- Molchanoff now matches Ella Forcucci of Canisius for the MAAC lead in goals and points per game, averaging 3.44 per contest for goals and 4.89 for points. Allingham is fourth in the league for assists per game, and 10th for points per game.
SCOUTING MARIST
- Marist comes in riding high after rallying from an 8-2 deficit to defeat Rider, 10-8.
- Amelia Pirozzi is the leading goal scorer with 22, posting a goal in every game this season. Jesse Manger has the most assists with 10.
- Lyle Brown leads the trio of Amelia Angelo and Taija Bell on defense, providing 17 of the group's 47 caused turnovers.
ALL-TIME SERIES
- Mount St. Mary's stands 5-0 all-time against Marist, winning games in 1997 and 1998 and all three MAAC meetings beginning in 2023. Last season in Poughkeepsie, the Mount took the contest 14-9.
