EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 14, 2026) – After opening a 5-3 lead, Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse fell to the pressure of the Delaware defense, falling 17-5 in Newark on Saturday.
Ava Kraszewski and
Brooke Molchanoff registered multi-goal games. With her two goals, Molchanoff finished the week with 11 goals scored. On defense,
Mackey Fick finished with four caused turnovers, tying a career high.
For Delaware, Ella Rishko finished with eight points – equally divided into four goals and four assists.
Mount St. Mary's finishes non-conference play at 4-4. Delaware improves to 3-4.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- The Mountaineers scored three of the first four goals. Kraszewski scored twice, and Molchanoff added one of her two tallies.
- McTavish and Molchanoff ended the first quarter on scores, with one assisting the other on their respective strikes.
- Delaware took over the game from there, scoring six times before halftime for a 9-5 lead at the break. They would shut out the Mount in the third and fourth quarters as well.
