EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 21, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse captured the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opener against the Merrimack Warriors, 17-9. With the win, the team is 5-4 on the season.
Three Mountaineers posted hat tricks led by
Brooke Molchanoff with five.
MK Allingham posted a career high with four goals, and
Ava Kraszewski matched her career high with three. Molchanoff added four assists for a total of nine points.
Camille Thomas ended on the plus side for saves, stopping 10 shots on goal.
Ella Curci and
Emily Lee finished with two caused turnovers each.
Merrimack was led by six points from Mia Estelle. The Warriors are 3-6 (0-1 MAAC) for the season.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- The teams traded goals to a 2-2 score before the Mount embarked on a 3-0 run. Krasazewski, Allingham, and Molchanoff all scored for the 5-2 lead.
- After Merrimack posted the opening goal of the second quarter, the Mount responded with a 5-0 run. Allingham contributed two of the five goals.
- Three of the next four scores also went to the Mount, with Molchanoff and Haylee Bittinger helping blow the game open, 12-4.
- With the lead safely theirs, the Mount played even with the Warriors to rest of the way, maintaining the eight goal advantage.
