EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 12, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball continues their quest for a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title this weekend, facing off against Canisius in a three game series from March 13-15 at E.T. Straw Family Stadium.
MOUNT UPDATE
Blanked through the first five innings against UMBC on Tuesday, the Mountaineers scored their first runs of the game in the top of the sixth when
David Stokely singled up the middle, driving in
Parker Hildebrand. With Stokely, Paddy Hebda, and Nathan Rodiguez on base,
Sean Heffernan drove the base runners in with a three-RBI triple down the right field line.
Heffernan went 2-2 on the day with a triple while knocking in three base runners. Hildebrand, Hebda, and
Christian Bauman all recorded hits against the Retrievers while
Ty Fredo and
Ryan McKay worked walks at the plate.

The Mount and Canisius have played in 17 contests dating back to 2006, with the Mountaineers owning a 5-12 record against the Golden Griffins. Mount St. Mary's lost the last series against Canisius in April of 2025 2-1, with the Mount rounding out a 6-4 win in game one on April 25, 2025.
