EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 9, 2026) – Completing their trip to the IC4A/ECAC Championships, Mount St. Mary's indoor track & field finished with a ninth place finish for the men and 15
th for the women. Nine members of the team received 10 All-East honors during the meet.
Madelyn Valpy added a second All-East effort after jumping sixth in the long jump on Saturday with an eighth place mark of 11.83 meters in the triple jump. She became the lone Mountaineer to win a pair of All-East honors. Joining her in triple jump was
Camryn Jones-Howard, finishing sixth with 11.95 meters. The distance for Jones-Howard ranks second on the all-time list behind last year's record from Valpy.
Garrett Wilkerson's Saturday time in the 400m ranks fourth in program history while
Jacey Hentz's pole vault distance ranks seventh in program history.
Marta Gonzalez Alvarez added her name as well, with an All-East hurdles time of 8.96 seconds to place 10
th on the all-time Mount list.
A fellow All-East competitor was
Joseph Poleate and his sixth place finish in the 60 hurdles at 8.39 seconds. He joins
Ethan Demeter (pole vault),
Dante Elliot (high jump), and
Donovan Harrington (long jump), all of whom earned marks on Saturday.
The Mount men finished with 28 points while the women earned 11.5 points.
Next up for the team is the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship in New York on February 21 and 22.
