NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 22, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's indoor track & field both finished top three at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Indoor Championships. The men's team came within six points of the title, coming in second with 108 points. The women's side took third place with a total of 84 points.
Madelyn Valpy was the individual highlight for the Mount, resetting her own school record in the triple jump at 12.52 meters. The distance won the event and now ranks in the top 100 among Division I competitors. Her previous high mark was 12.35 meters, earned at the 2025 MAAC Championships. Valpy's teammate
Camryn Jones-Howard finished second in the triple jump, finishing at 12.05 meters.
Abdulazeez Iyiola was the Mount's second winner on the day, taking the 60 hurdles in 8.24 seconds. Fellow podium finishers on Sunday include

Jacey Hentz earned points in three different events – finishing third in the pole vault, fourth in the 60 hurdles, and eighth in the long jump.
Outdoor season begins March 19-21 with the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
