EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 27, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's sophomore goalie Bennett Wright saw his efforts in the net pay off at the conclusion of the lacrosse season. Wright's 14.79 saves per game ranks first among 69 Division I qualifiers nationwide.
 
Over the course of the season, the Lutherville, Maryland native collected 207 saves. He recorded double digit save efforts in all but one of the Mount's games during the campaign. On April 12, he finished with 20 denials as the Mountaineers picked up a 13-12 win over Merrimack.
 
In terms of school history, Wright ranks fourth on the program leaderboard for saves in a season.
