MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's is coming off a tough weekend, dropping all four games at the Mount Softball Tournament at Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  The Mount lost to LeMoyne in the opening three games of the tournament, and is coming off a 4-3 loss to Morgan State on Sunday afternoon.  Taylor Williams is hitting .366 for the Mountaineers while Tyra Christian is hitting .318.  Olivia Murphy (1-4, 3.16 ERA) and Ellie Meier (3-1, 4.81 ERA) lead the pitching staff.

ABOUT ARMY WEST POINT:  Army West Point enters this weekend with a 9-10 record after falling to Jacksonville (7-2) and North Florida (5-0) on Saturday.  Ashton White is hitting. 400 (24-for-60) with two home runs and 11 RBI while Caitlyn Newburn is hitting .308 with team highs of four long balls and 16 runs batted in.  Amanda Eaglin (3-4, 3.63 ERA) and Breanna Izzo (5-3, 3.95 ERA) have been the top two pitchers so far this year.

ABOUT UALBANY:  UAlbany is 3-11 this season after going 2-2 at the GW Invitational last weekend with a pair of wins over Manhattan.  Charlotte Lamb is the team's top hitter with a .346 average.  In the circle, Kate Powers (2-2, 4.06 ERA) and Hailey Errichiello (0-6, 4.97 ERA) are tied for the team lead with 31.0 innings pitched.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  Mount St. Mary's is 7-7 all-time against UAlbany with the two teams splitting a pair of games during the 2023 season.  The Mountaineers are 5-2 at home against the Great Danes.  The Mount is 1-1 all-time against Army West Point.  This will be the first meeting between the two programs since a 2-1 Mountaineer win on Feb. 25, 2006.
