Riverdale, N.Y. (March 29, 2026)—Mount St. Mary's completed the three-game sweep with a 8-1 win at Manhattan on Sunday.  The Mount improves to 9-20 overall and 6-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with today's victory.  Senior Gina Del Giorno went 2-for-3 at the plate to extend her hit streak to 13.

The Mount jumped out to the early lead in the top of the first when Koerner drew a two-out walk, and Tawney followed with a two-run blast over the left-center field fence.

Mount St. Mary's added to the lead in the third when Manni reached on an error, stole second, moved to third on a groundout, and then scored on a Festa grounder to short.

Despite the Jaspers loading the bases with no outs, Schmehl was able to escape the inning with just one run allowed.  A single, hit batsman and a walk loaded the bases, but Schmehl induced a double play that allowed a run to score, and then a groundout to limit the damage in the frame.

Mount St. Mary's broke the game open with a five-run top of the third.  Dinges led off with a book rule double, and then scored on Del Giorno's single to center field.  Del Giorno moved to second on an error on the play, and then advanced to third on a wild pitch.  Koerner followed with an RBI single to stretch the lead to 5-1, and chase Manhattan starter Caitlin Gaetani.  Tawney walked, and Koerner and Tawney pulled off a double steal to put a pair of runners in scoring position.  Bandelow doubled to right center field to plate both runs, and force Manhattan into another pitching change.  Festa closed out the scoring in the inning with an RBI single.

That was all the offense needed for Schmehl, who tossed a complete game, allowing just two hits and one run in the game.  Koerner went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored while Del Giorno went 2-for-4 at the plate in the game.

• Tawney's home run is her second of the season.Tawney is 11-for-26 (.423) over her past 10 games.
• The Mount narrowed Manhattan's lead in the all-time series to 8-7.The Mountaineers are now 3-3 all-time on the road against the Jaspers, and 6-2 in MAAC regular season matchups.
• Del Giorno extended her hit streak to 13 games with her 2-for-4 day.Del Giorno is 23-for-40 (.575) at the plate over the streak with nine multiple-hit games.She went 5-for-10 with two doubles and a triple in the Mount's three-game sweep.
• Schmehl went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA in the series against Manhattan.She allowed just five hits and one earned run in 14 innings of work in her two complete-game victories.
