EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 28, 2025) – Down to three matches in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, Mount St. Mary's men's soccer needs positive results and keep hopes for a postseason berth alive. Their first chance comes Wednesday at home against Canisius.  
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
Taking the road at Fairfield, the Mountaineers gave up a rebound off a penalty and an early second half goal to drop a 2-0 decision to the Stags. 
Julian Marcos ended the match with six saves, but the Mount found themselves unable to capitalize on 13 shot attempts.

Jack Kehoe, and 
Graham Dougald tried the most shots in the match, and the trio is responsible for nine of the team's 14 shots. The additional multi-goal scorer is sophomore 
Eliot O'Neil.
 
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS
 
Canisius comes to Emmitsburg looking to snap a two match losing streak while also keeping postseason hopes alive. Their two league wins came at Rider and at home against Quinnipiac. The duo of Romero Nicolazzo and Gabriel Leslie supplied almost half of their goals so far. Dom Dominguez has most of the goalie starts, earning 39 saves.
 
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
 
Mount has two victories in the three matches against Canisius. The Mountaineers took 2-1 victories in 2022 and 2023 but fell to the Golden Griffins 2-1 last year.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
 
This coming Saturday (Nov. 1), the Mount hits the road one final time in the regular season, battling Iona in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
