EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 18, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's women's cross country finished in third place at Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational. The men's team also had a strong showing by coming in ninth out of 32 teams.
Laura McConville led the way for the women's team with a third place individual finish. The junior captured a 6K time of 21:43.90 to continue her impressive season.
Elizabeth Freymann and
Nuria Escudero also earned top 25 efforts with respective times of 22:25.60 and 22:34.50 to finish in 19
th and 22
nd.
Chloe McCarthy (22:54.50, 30
th) and
Alyssa Pongracz (23:23.60, 41
st). The group collected 107 points to earn third place.
Alessandro Campagna came across the finish line first with a 48
th place time of 26:23.40 in the 8K event.
EJ Villaver finished 56
th in 26:39.00 to place second among Mountaineers, followed by
Joey Jacobs in 61
st (26:44.70). Rounding out the team scoring is

The Aubrey Shenk Invitational concludes the regular season for Mount St. Mary's cross country. On November 1, runners compete at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in Montgomery, New York.
