EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 1, 2025) – A few weeks before their 2025-26 season, Mount St. Mary's bowling found out where they rank in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) preseason poll. The Mountaineers were placed No. 14 in the country ahead of the season.
Positioned between Wisconsin-Whitewater and McKendree, the Mount received a total of 756 points in the poll. In a competitive vote, Jacksonville State edged out the likes of Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Youngtown State and Wichita State to earn the top spot.
Mount St. Mary's went 66-43 last season and made a postseason run at the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships, winning three matches.
On October 17, the Mount opens the campaign at the Penguin Classic, hosted by Youngstown State.
