May 7, 2024--Mount St. Mary's freshman pitcher
Sophia Schmehl has been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Rookie team, announced today by the conference. The Mountaineers also placed 13 athletes on the MAAC Softball All-Academic team.
Schmehl led the Mount with a 3.76 ERA while compiling a 4-6 record in 80.2 innings of work. The freshman appeared in 21 games with 10 starts, tallying a pair of saves while striking out 42 on the year. The Mountaineers on the All-Academic team include graduate student
