EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 6, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's further established its presence on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) performance list this weekend with efforts at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting. 33 times and marks sit on the league's top 10 list at the meet's conclusion.
Among the dozens of top standards set, six members of the Mount now lead the MAAC for their respective events.
Arran Fahey finished ninth with a 4.86 meter pole vault in a competitive field, earning the top spot in the conference.
Emelie Beckman is also first in the MAAC for the pole vault, finishing at 3.64 meters to finish fourth at the event. The 4x100 relay team of
Trevin McHargh,
Bah Abdoulaye,
Todd Charles, and
Miles Moore completed the race in 40.97 seconds to not only lead the league but etch the group as the third best in program history for the event.
Rebecca Weir maintains her top placement in the javelin set at the Shamrock Invitational but was joined by freshman
Lorelai Paxton with a 38.10 meter effort that both ranks third in the MAAC and was third place at the meet.
Tierney McCarroll also earned a top five finish at VertKlasse.
Joseph Poleate won his event in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.31 seconds, placing him fifth on the league leaderboard. Abdoulaye and Moore took individual runner up finishes as well. Further top five finishes came from

th, 100m).
Select track & field athletes also competed at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational. Top places at that meet included Weir earning sixth in the javelin,
Tara Coyne finishing sixth in the high jump,
Ella Dougher taking ninth in the pole vault, and Xavier Suggs completing a 10
th place triple jump.
The Mountaineers head to Princeton's Larry Ellis Invite and the James Madison Invitational next weekend, April 12-13.
