EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 17, 2024) – The month of April continues to be a lucrative one for Mount St. Mary's bowling senior
Alyssa Alexander. She collects her second placement on an All-American list in the past week after being named Honorable Mention by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA).
Wednesday's announcement came during the banquet for USBC Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky.
Making the honor even more prestigious is that Alexander fell one game short of qualifying for the official ballot, playing 39 contests counting towards USBC numbers. That means that coaches put Alexander's name down as a write-in candidate, allowing for an organic honor.
Alexander has already been named a National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Third Team All-American and NTCA All-Regional selection. She was the anchor for the 74-34 Mountaineers, guiding a group of underclassmen to a Top 15 ranking in the NTCA poll.
