EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 8, 2024) – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play begins Sunday as the 2023 Co-Regular Season Champions meet in New York as Mount St. Mary's takes on Manhattan.
MOUNT UPDATE
Overtime remained unkind to the Mountaineers this past Tuesday, falling in an extra session to Binghamton.
Brody Atkinson led the offense with a five-point day, scoring four times and contributing an assist.
Ben Ward had a career day on defense, setting new career highs with five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Atkinson now leads the Mount in points with 18.

Owen Peters reached double digits in saves for the sixth time and leads for ground balls with 27.
SCOUTING THE JASPERS
Manhattan, like Mount St. Mary's, enters the contest seeking their first win. They last played on March 2, falling 12-7 to Bryant. Co-Preseason All-MAAC Player of the Year Kyle Gucwa, who shared the honor with Mount's Dunham, leads the Jaspers in points with 16. Connor Hapward in goal has the most ground balls and Damien Blando has the most caused turnovers. Hapward has 62 saves for the season.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Long time conference challengers with each other, Mount St. Mary's and Manhattan have met 23 times on the lacrosse field. The Mountaineers lead in the series, 14-9, but Manhattan has won the past two games.
