EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 10, 2024) – Completing their non-conference schedule, Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse welcomes Robert Morris to Waldron Family Stadium for a Tuesday afternoon game.
MOUNT UPDATE
In a defensive battle, the Mount fell 8-6 to the High Point Panthers despite rallying from a 4-0 deficit.
Logan Cook had three points and
Mackenzi Furlong was a multi-goal scorer.
Madison Harmening and
Mackey Fick set career highs for ground balls, while
Anna Salerno set one for caused turnovers.
Furlong and Salerno are now tied for the team lead in goals at 13 apiece. Harmening is tied with
Abby Yesko for the third most points and leads for caused turnovers at 11.
Hailey Chester has the most draw controls, winning 22.
Addison Malone has the highest number of ground balls with 19, one ahead of Harmening.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
Robert Morris returns to Emmitsburg seeking two consecutive wins following an 0-6 start, as the Colonials defeated Queens 13-8. Colleen Tift has the most points with 12 while Lilli Hadden leads the goal count with 10. Jenna Irwin has 17 draw controls and nine goals over the first six games. Sydney Riker starts in the net and has 55 saves on the year.

Dating back to 2005 and as regular members of the Northeast Conference, Mount St. Mary's and Robert Morris have 16 previous meetings together. The Mount holds a 9-7 advantage in the series and snapped a three-game Colonials streak with a 14-3 score in the most recent contest back in 2019.
