Women’s Lacrosse Honors Seniors, Host Iona in Final Waldron Regular Season Game

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 3, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse readies for the final regular season home game at Waldron Family Stadium, hosting the Iona Gaels.
 
Before the start of the game, the Mount will honor its senior class – Kaitlin Price, Peyton Sims, Ella Curci, MK Allingham, Logan Cook, Hailey Chester, Mackey Fick, and Ashlyn Watkins. The on-field ceremony takes place at 11 a.m.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
  • Brooke Molchanoff scored the game-winner in overtime, helping the Mount improve to 4-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) by defeating Siena, 11-10. The sophomore posted her 40th goal of the season and remains tied with Ella Forcucci of Canisius for the league lead at 43.
  • A victory over Iona would give Mount St. Mary's its best start since joining the MAAC and best conference start since their perfect 11-0 Northeast Conference season in 2021.
  • Allingham and Molchanoff are also top 10 in the MAAC for assists, with Allingham fifth (1.58) and Molchanoff seventh (1.33).
  • Chester is third in the MAAC for caused turnovers per game (1.83), and Shannon McTavish is third for draw controls per game (5.67).
SCOUTING IONA
  • The 2025 MAAC tournament runners-up are struggling in 2026 as they come to Emmitsburg in search of their first conference win.
  • Calen Norton is the Gaels' most prolific weapon with 22 goals and 18 caused turnovers – both team highs.
  • Lindsey Grove has the most assists with 12.
  • Lauren Sweeney remains the primary goalkeeper, registered an even 100 saves for the season.
ALL-TIME SERIES
  • The series is tied at 3-3. Mount St. Mary's won the last two regular season games, but Iona took the MAAC semifinal in Emmitsburg last May 2.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE

This coming Wednesday (Apr. 8), the Mountaineers head to Fairfield for a battle with the defending MAAC Champion Stags.
