EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 5, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse freshman Brody Atkinson was named Rookie of the Week by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Monday.
 
Atkinson was one of the three multi-point scorers for the Mount in the team's 2024 season opener at Navy in Annapolis. He picked up his first assist in the second quarter on a goal by Cormac Giblin and scored his first goal in the fourth quarter.
 
Arriving to Emmitsburg this past fall, Atkinson is a Carroll County native who played high school lacrosse for St. Paul's in Baltimore County.
 
The Mountaineers head to Towson this Saturday (Feb. 10).
