Emmitsburg, Md. (December 16, 2024) - The Mount St. Mary's University dance team brought home first place this weekend in the Dance Team Union Regional Competition on Sunday (Dec. 15).
The team competed in five categories: collegiate open solo performed by
Bria Wagaman; collegiate open duos performed by Wagaman and
Kaitlyn Baumgardner; and the collegiate pom, hip-hop, and open, performed by Wagaman and Baumgardner accompanied by
Amaya Bowman,
Alexis Mobley, Cecilia Buchanan,
Savannah Brake,
Emma Larimore, and
Jalia Watson. The team won first place in all categories, solidifying the Dance Team Union Regional Champions title.
The next competition the team participates in is at Newark, N.J. on January 12.
