EMMITSBURG, Md. (June 15, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's designated hitter Scott Seeker earned recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings as a member of their Division I All-Region teams. Seeker placed on the Second Team for the East Region.
 
A junior from Norton, Ohio, Seeker transferred from Western Oklahoma Junior College ahead of the 2023 season. Starting all 52 games, he had a fantastic first run in the Division I ranks, earning a .343 average with 14 home runs, 40 RBIs, and an OPS of 1.062. Tallying 70 base hits, Seeker landed second on the program's all-time list for hits in a season. His 18 doubles throughout the season were the most for any Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) player this past spring.  
 
Seeker was rewarded by the MAAC with a First Team honor, one of four Mountaineers to receive an all-conference award. As a team, the Mount went 25-27, the most wins since 2007.
 
This summer, Seeker is playing on the Martha's Vineyard Sharks of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
