Scott Seeker Makes His Professional Debut for the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League


EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 25, 2025) – Former Mount St. Mary's first baseman and designated hitter Scott Seeker made his professional debut on Thursday, August 21 for the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League.

Scott made his debut for the Miners in a double header against the Joliet Slammers, going 1-4 across both games with two walks. In the second game, Seeker accounted for a run scored and a RBI in the 10-2 win over Joliet. Over his five games played so far this season, Seeker has recorded three hits and has worked six walks while stealing a base in the process.

In his two years at the Mount, Seeker hit 24 home runs while knocking in 101 RBIs. He also worked 67 walks, scored 99 runs, and recorded 143 hits for the Mountaineers in his 107 career starts. A stellar senior campaign in 2024 that yielded 61 RBIs, 58 runs scored, and 43 walks earned him spots in the All-ECAC team and the All-MAAC First Team. Scott played his graduate year for the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies in the Continental Athletic Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, hitting .384 while knocking in 84 RBIs and sending out 12 home runs.
