EDISON, N.J. (May 9, 2023)--The Mount St. Mary's softball team had 20 student-athletes named to the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Softball All-Academic Team, announced by the league office today.  To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
 
Mount St. Mary's University led the conference with 20 All-Academic Team members. Saint Peter's University followed with 16 selections, Niagara University added 15 honorees, and Canisius College totaled 13 members on the list. Iona University, Marist College, Quinnipiac University, and Rider University had 12 selections apiece on the team. The all-academic list was rounded out by Siena College (11) and Fairfield University (10) honorees.
