COMPLETE RESULTS
Emmitsburg, Md. (May 7, 2023)--The Mount St. Mary's outdoor track and field teams concluded the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships today with the men finishing second and the women third at Morgan Track on campus.
Dylan LaNoue paced the men's team and was named the Most Outstanding Performer in the Field Events while
Zionna Perez-Tucker was named the Rookie of the Meet to lead the women.
The men's team fell 18 points shy of first place Rider in the men's standings. The Broncs had a winning total of 210 points, followed by the Mount (192), Iona (111), Manhattan (99), Saint Peter's (89), Marist (52), Canisius (32) and Siena (25). Rider captured the women's title with 252 points, followed by Quinnipiac (132), the Mount (125.5), Saint Peter's (80), Manhattan (67), Iona (60), Siena (49), Canisius (18), Marist (17.5) and Niagara (17).
LaNoue won both the high jump and the triple jump for the Mountaineers today. He won the triple jump with a leap of 15.39m (50-2.5) and the high jump at 2.08m (6-9).
Richard Gilchrist broke the meet record with a winning time of 13.95 seconds in the 110m hurdles while
Justyn Seivright captured gold in the 400m hurdles (53.37). Perez-Tucker won the 100m in a meet record time of 11.78 seconds while also taking home gold in the 200m (24.17).
The Mount swept the top three positions in the men's triple jump with LaNoue winning,
Cyre Hooper finishing second (14.26m, 46-9.5) and
D.J. Hamilton third (14.10m, 46-3.25).
Darrien Coates also scored in teh event with a seventh place mark (13.47m, 44-2.5).
Renaldi Falwell was second in the shot put (15.63m, 51-3.5) and fourth in the discus (44.28m, 145-3).
Jackson Huddleson was eighth in the discus (39.66m, 130-1) as well.
The Mountaineers had four more scorers in the 100m dash.
Todd Charles was edged by just .01 seconds in the 100m dash, finishing second in a time of 10.62 seconds. Nick Weaver was fourth (10.87), Gilchrist fifth (10.98) and
Torian Neblett eighth (11.20). Four more scored in the high jump as well with LaNoue winning,
Reginald Hankins and
Dante Elliot tying for third (1.93m, 6-4) and
Andrew Lamanna fifth (1.93m, 6-4). Gilchrist won the 110m hurdles with
Will Stephenson third (14.65) and
Matthew LeRoux fourth (14.58).
Daniel Reader was third in the 400m (47.99). In the 200m, Charles was second with a time of 21.30, Reader fifth (21.69) and Weaver sixth (21.86). In the 400m hurdles, Seivright won with Stephenson third (54.18) and
Alexander Koo eighth (59.77).
John Wang was sixth in the 1,500m run (3:54.36).
For the women, Perez-Tucker won the 100m with a time of 11.78 seconds with
Jasmine Kidd seventh (12.43). Perez-Tucker doubled up winning the 200m with Kidd in fifth place at 2525 seconds and
Dominique Jeffery eighth (25.76).
Logan Hart led of trio of scorers in the triple jump with a second-place finish (11.82m, 38-9.5) with
Jovana Miloradovic sixth (11.34m, 37-2.5) and
Emma Aller Espina seventh (11.31, 37-1.25). Three more scored in the high jump as well with
Kayla Hackett fifth (1.62m, 5-3.75),
Jaelyn Chevannes seventh (1.57m, 5-1.75) and
Rebecca Weir eighth (1.52m, 4-11.75). In the shot put,
Ann Marie Oriakhi was sixth (11.76m, 38-7) and Chevannes seventh (11.67m, 38-3.5). Oriakhi scored in the discus, finishing third at 39.10m (129-11) with
Keighan DeCoff placing fourth (38.27m, 125-6).
Sarah Pernell finished eighth in the 100m hurdles (14.85).
