Men's Tennis Downed by Fairleigh Dickinson in NEC Quarterfinals

West Windsor, N.J. (April 14, 2022)--Mount St. Mary's lost to Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-0, in the Northeast Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon at the Mercer County Tennis Center. With the loss, the Mount's 2021-22 season comes to a close.

Fairleigh Dickinson won the doubles point with Mehdi Dhouib and Niclas Pietsch downing the Mount's Giovanni Abriola and Elliot Stevens, 6-1, at the No. 1 spot and Younes Adnane and Justas Trainauskas defeating Chrostos Dagklis and Russell Armstrong, 6-4, at No. 2.

In singles play, Dhouib downed Dagklis, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 1 singles, Trainauskas earned a 6-3, 6-1 win over Stevens at No. 2 singles and Fernando Tardin defeated the Mount's Marcel Cronin, 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 6 position. The other three matches went unfinished.
