EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 1, 2022) – Completing their Collegiate Water Polo Association schedule, Mount St. Mary's women's water polo faces three teams in New Jersey.
MOUNT UPDATE
Notching their first-ever CWPA win, the Mount defeated Saint Francis U by a 12-10 final on March 25
th.
Rebecca Valentine registered five goals and
Samantha Bright tallied 13 saves in the victory. Friday's result bumped the Mountaineers' record to 8-19 (1-8 CWPA).
Valentine's goal count rose to 71 for the year, followed by
Ana Luisa Cotta with 37. Cotta leads in steals with 37 and assists with 36.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
In the CWPA standings, Princeton and Michigan hold undefeated records. The Tigers stand first thanks to playing two more contests than the Wolverines. Bucknell is 2-6 for a total of four points.
Hosts Princeton went on hiatus for three weeks after participation in the Loyola Marymount Invitational. They went 2-1 with triumphs over Biola and Cal State East Bay. Michigan is 16-8 but comes off a loss to #4 Cal on March 25
th in Ann Arbor. Bucknell's two conferences win are against the Mount and SFU, and recently returned from a California trip, logging wins over Austin College and La Verne.
ALL TIME SERIES
Mount St. Mary's seeks their first wins against each team. This is the fifth meeting with Michigan, fourth with Bucknell and second with Princeton.

th – a non-conference showdown with St. Francis Brooklyn.
