EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 11, 2022) – Three games come up for the Mount at the La Salle Invitational as they face off against Gannon and Mercyhurst on Saturday, and Salem on Sunday.
MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount recently lost all three of their games at the Harvard Invitational, taking on two of the top 25 ranked teams in the NCAA. The defeats drove the team's losing streak up to 11 games.
Rebecca Valentine leads her team in goals this season with a total of 51.
Lauryn Thomas possesses the most assists with 20 of them. On defense,
Ana Luisa Cotta has earned 20 steals and 13 field blocks.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Gannon's season so far is at .500 as they stand at 5-5, but ride a three-game winning streak as they won all three of their matches at the Grove City Invitational. At their last game they won 17-6 against Grove City.
Mercyhurst's season stands at 2-8. The Lakers lost all four of their matchups in the Marist Tournament. Their two wins this season were against Wittenberg University (12-8) and Mount St. Mary's (12-10).
Salem is 7-14 this season losing their last matchup to the University of Michigan 16-4. Salem has beaten Villanova and Siena College twice, Mount St. Mary's, Mercy Hurst, and Bucknell University.
ALL TIME SERIES
The Mount played Gannon once losing 11-6 back in February. They are 1-1 against Mercyhurst, losing their last matchup 12-10 in February, and 0-2 against Salem, losing their last matchup 18-11.

The Mount will be playing their first regular season matchup against Michigan at 12:00 p.m. and Brown at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20
