BUCKNELL GULDEN INVITATIONAL RESULTS | COLLEGEVILLE INVITATIONAL RESULTS
January 22, 2022—Mount St. Mary's had a trio of first-place finishes at the Bucknell Gulden Invitational on another busy day of competition.Â
Todd Charles took home first place in the 60m dash,Â
Richard Gilchrist won the 60m hurdles and
D.J. Hamilton won the triple jump at the Bucknell Gulden Invitational on Saturday. The Mountaineers also had athletes competing at the Ursinus Collegeville Invitational on Saturday.
At Bucknell, Charles grabbed the gold medal with a time of 6.85 seconds to capture the 60m dash. His time is good for second on the Mount's all-time top 10 list, .08 seconds behind the all-time leader,
Justin Kimble. Gilchrist also put his name near the top of the Mount's all-time top 10 list with a winning time of 8.06 seconds in the 60m hurdles, good for third all-time at the Mount. Teammate
Matthew LeRoux was third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.43 seconds, which puts him fifth all-time at the Mount. Hamilton captured the triple jump with a mark of 14.17m (46' 6") with teammate
Cyre Hooper in second (13.90m, 45' 7.25").
Justyn Seivright was second in the 400m dash (50.25) with the Mount capturing second thru fourth in the pole vault.Â
Carter Nave was second in the event with a vault of 4.90m (15' 9") with
Carter Holsinger third (4.65m, 15' 3') and
Arran Fahey fourth (4.65m, 15' 3"). The Mount also finished second thru fourth in the high jump as well.Â
Dante Elliott was second (1.95m, 6' 4.75"),
Andrew Lamanna third (1.95m, 6' 4.75") and
Drake Tews fourth (1.90m, 6' 2.75").
Dylan LaNoue captured third in the long jump (6.85m, 22' 5.75"),
Andrew Jackson third in the 3,000m (8:52.65),
Colin Kelly third in the mile (4:23.75) and
Kevin Zaleski third in the 800m (2:00.49).
For the women's team at Bucknell,
Rachel Finn was second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.60m (11' 9.75").Â
Kayla Hackett added a second-place mark in the high jump (1.55m, 5' 1") while
Dominique Jeffery was third in the 20m dash (25.98).Â
Alexandra Kay chipped in a fourth-place nod in the 3,000m (10:53.27) as well for the Mountaineers.
At Ursinus, the Mount took home first and second in the 60m hurdles.Â
Sarah Pernell won with a time of 9.71 seconds while
Sarah Purdy was second with a mark of 10.02 seconds.Â
Zaria Wilson finished second in the 400m dash and was fourth in the 200m dash as well.Â
Lewis Kungu placed third in the 60m dah while
Isaiah Williamson was third in the long jump and fifth in the 60m hurdles.
The Mount returns to action next week competing at the George Mason Patriot Games and the VMI Winter Relays.
