The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will be busy in the upcoming days. The Mountaineers will host the annual Mount Multi's on April 8-9 at Morgan Track while also hosting the Mount Invitational on Friday, April 9. In addition, the Mount will be sending athletes to the George Mason Spring Invitational on Sunday, April 11.
MOUNT UPDATE:Â The Mountaineers are in action for the first time since competing at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 18-19.Â
Brian Sagendorf broke his own school record in the javelin to pace the Mountaineers at the meet.Â
NEC WEEKLY HONORS:Â
Brian Sagendorf was the Northeast Conference's Field Athlete of the Week on March 25 while
Chalys Caruth was the NEC"s Track Athlete of the Week on March 18.
NEC PERFORMANCE LIST: An early look at the Northeast Conference Performance lists this season sees eight Mountaineers on top of an event. For the men,
Todd Charles (100m),
Will Merritt (10,000m),
Carter Holsinger (Pole Vault),
Sean Fahey (Long Jump),
Dylan LaNoue (Triple Jump) and
Brian Sagendorf (Javelin) holds the top spot on the NEC list. On the women's side,
Chalys Caruth has the top 400m time with
Rachel Finn leading the pole vault.
