Emmitsburg, Md. (April 16, 2021)—Eight first-place finishes highlighted the day as the Mount St. Mary's outdoor track and field teams hosted the 33-48 Challenge at Morgan Track on a cool and windy Friday afternoon.Â
Justyn Seivright moved to the top of the NEC leaderboard with his performance in the 400m hurdles to lead the way while
Dylan LaNoue added to his league-leading mark in the triple jump.
Seivright posted a winning time of 54.27 seconds in the 400m hurdles to headline the men's team's efforts on Friday. LaNoue won the triple jump with a mark of 15.72m, topping his league-leading mark entering the meet by nearly one meter.Â
Carter Holsinger added a first-place nod in the pole vault (4.45m) while
Colin Kelly won the 1,500m (3:53.56). The Mount's 4x400m relay squad also took home first with a time of 3:22.86.Â
Billy Cook added a second-place finish in the long jump (6.67m) while
Todd Charles was second in the 100m dash (10.50), finishing just .01 seconds behind the winner.
On the women's side,
Rachel Finn grabbed first place in the pole vault with a leap of 3.75m.Â
Adria Pirozzi won the 1,500m (4:29.25) while
Najae Nickerson chipped in a win in the 400m hurdles (1:06.12) and a second-place effort in the 100m hurdles (14.30).Â
Emily Eckard moved into seventh on the Mount's all-time top 10 list with her second-place finish in the discus (39.09m).
The Mount track and field teams return to action on Saturday, April 24, at the Saint Francis U Red Flash Open.
