Mount St. Mary's begins its season-ending five-game road swing with a pair of games at Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday and Sunday.  Tip-off for both days is set for 2:00 p.m.  Saturday's game will air live on MASN and ESPN3.

Mount Update:  Mount St. Mary's dropped a pair of games to Wagner this week to fall to 8-9 overall and 7-6 in the Northeast Conference.  Wagner captured the first game 61-39 on Tuesday before escaping with a 57-55 win on Wednesday.  In the first game against the Seahawks, Wagner held the Mount to 39 points, its lowest scoring game since a 69-35 loss at Old Dominion on Dec. 29, 2014.  The Mountaineers scored just 15 points in the second half, the third-fewest points in a half by a Mount team since the move to NCAA Division I in 1988-89.  The Mount shot just 13-of-48 (.271) from the field in the game.  Mezie Offurum led the Mount with 13 points while Nana Opoku added 11 points and eight boards.  In the second game, the Mountaineers rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to even the score, but saw Wagner's Alex Morales break the tie with a pair of free throws with 5.1 seconds left for the winning points.  Damian Chong Qui did his best to will the team to the win, scoring the Mount's final 12 points, including a runner with 14 seconds left that tied the game at 55-55.  Chong Qui led the Mount with 18 points and six assists in the game.

Fairleigh Dickinson Update:  Fairleigh Dickinson was swept in a home series with St. Francis Brooklyn on Tuesday and Wednesday to fall to 7-13 overall and 6-8 in Northeast Conference play.              The Knights feature one of the top offenses in the NEC, averaging 75.9 points per game while connecting on 45.3 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three-point range.  Jahlil Jenkins leads the team in scoring at 16.9 points per game, hitting 40-of-102 (.392) from beyond the arc.  Elyjah Williams, who eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for his career on Wednesday, is averaging 14.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.  Brandon Rush, who scored 34 points in FDU's loss to St. Francis Brooklyn on Tuesday, is averaging 14.4 points while shooting 50-of-117 (.427) from three-point range.

The All-Time Series:  Fairleigh Dickinson has won six in a row against the Mountaineers to take a 34-28 lead in the all-time series.  The Mount's last win over the Knights was a 79-74 victory on Feb. 18, 2017.  The Mount is 11-19 all-time on the road against FDU.

NEC Standings:  Mount St. Mary's enters this weekend in fifth place in the Northeast Conference standings.  The top four teams this year earn a spot in the NEC Tournament.  The Mount currently holds the No. 4 seed because Merrimack, currently tied for first, is still transitioning to NCAA Division I and is ineligible for the NEC Tournament.  Merrimack and Wagner are tied for first with 8-4 league records, followed by Bryant (6-4) and Sacred Heart (7-5).  The Mount is a half-game ahead of LIU and St. Francis Brooklyn, who are each 7-7.

Chong Qui in Crunch Time:  Damian Chong Qui has been terrific down the stretch in crunch time for the Mountaineers, averaging 6.9 points during the last five minutes of close games.  Chong Qui is shooting 57.7 percent (15-of-26) from the field, 70.0 percent from three-point range (7-of-10) and 90.0 percent (18-of-20) at the foul line in the last five minutes of those close games.  Chong Qui scored the Mount's final seven points, including a go-ahead jumper with 1:29 remaining, in the Mount's 66-60 win over LIU.  In the Mount's 57-55 loss to Wagner, Chong Qui scored the Mount's final 12 points (all in the final 3:58 of the game), including a game-tying runner with 14 seconds left.  Chong Qui was sensational in the Mount's 65-64 loss at Central Connecticut.  He scored 14 points over the final 7:07 of the game, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 32 seconds remaining.  Chong Qui finished that game with a career-best 30 points.  He scored seven points over the final 3:48 to seal the Mount's 76-64 win over Sacred Heart.  The Pioneers had rallied to trim the Mount's lead to one with just under eight minutes remaining.

Damian Chong Qui Named NEC Co-Player of the Week:  Damian Chong Qui was named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday, winning the award for the third time this season.  Chong Qui joins Junior Robinson (5 in 2017-18) and Chris McGuthrie (4 in 1995-96 and 3 in 1994-95) as the lone Mountaineers to win three or more NEC Player of the Week awards in the same season.  Chong Qui averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds in the Mount's two-game sweep of LIU last week.

Up Next:  The Mount visits Saint Francis U on February 25 before closing the season with a pair of games at Bryant (Mar. 2-3).
