RESULTS
Boston, Mass. (March 7, 2020)—Emily Lewis advanced to the finals in the 60m hurdles to pace the Mount St. Mary's indoor track and field teams today at the ECAC/IC4A Championships. The women's 4x400m relay team also advanced to the finals tomorrow.
Lewis was one of three Mountaineers to compete in the 60m hurdles along with teammates Najae Nickerson and Alexandra Lawson. All three Mountaineers moved on to the semifinals with Lewis running 8.85, Lawson 9.01 and Nickerson 9.08 in the preliminary round. Lewis advanced to the finals by breaking her own school record with a time of 8.65 seconds in the semifinals. Nickerson ran a time of 8.90 in the semis with Lawson posting a time of 9.05.
Todd Charles advanced to the semifinals in the 60m dash by posting a time of 7.02 seconds. He finished tied for 12th in the semifinals with a time of 6.96 seconds. Dylan LaNoue was 11th in the high jump with a leap of 1.95m.
The Mount's 4x400m relay team of Chalys Caruth, Dominque Jeffery, Chardane Logan and Lewis advanced to tomorrow's final with a time of 3:48.37.
Lewis will run in the 60m hurdles final tomorrow while the 4x400m relay team also will run in tomorrow's final. Carter Nave will compete in the men's pole vault.
