LIVE RESULTS | ECAC/IC4A CHAMPIONSHIPS PAGE
The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will be sending athletes to the ECAC/IC4A Championships which will be held at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass., on March 6-8.
Competing for the Mount will be Todd Charles in the 60m dash, Carter Nave in the pole vault and Dylan LaNoue in the high jump. For the women, Emily Lewis will compete in the 400m and the 60m hurdles, Najae Nickerson and Allie Lawson in the 60m hurdles, and the Mount's 4x400m relay team which will include Chardane Logan, Chalys Caruth, Dominique Jeffery and one of the Mount's 60m hurdlers.
The Mountaineers are coming off a strong performance at the 2020 Northeast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Both the men's and women's team finished in second place at the NEC's, led on the men's side by Dylan LaNoue (Most Valuable Performer) and Emily Lewis (Most Outstanding Rookie Performer) on the women's side.
LaNoue was named the Most Valuable Performer of the men's meet. LaNoue took home a pair of gold medals yesterday by winning the long jump and the high jump. LaNoue was also named the men's Most Outstanding Performer (Jumps). LaNoue is the first Mountaineer to be named the men's Most Outstanding Performer since Daniel Kinyua back in 1998.
Lewis was named the Most Outstanding Rookie Performer as well as the Most Outstanding Performer (Sprints). The Mount has won the Most Outstanding Rookie Performer in each of the past three seasons as Lewis joins teammates Kayla Barnes (2018) and Dominique Jeffery (2019) as winners of the award. This is the second consecutive season the Mount has had a winner of the Most Outstanding Performer (Sprints) as Barnes won the award last year.
