BUCKNELL GULDEN INVITATIONAL RESULTS | GEORGE MASON PATRIOT GAMES RESULTS
January 25, 2020--The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at both the Bucknell Gulden Invitational and the George Mason Patriot Games on Saturday.
At Bucknell, Karington Smith captured first place in the 60m hurdles with a mark of 8.94 seconds to lead the women. Chelsea Wright tied for third in the high jump (1.60m) with Elizabeth Shodiya finishing sixth in the long jump (5.24m). Alexandra Lawson finished seventh in the 60m dash with a time of 7.85 seconds while Dominique Jeffery had the fourth-best time in the 200m (25.93). The Mount's 4x400m relay team of Chalys Caruth, Chardane Logan, Jeffery and Lawson earned third place with a time of 3:59.97.
For the men at Bucknell, Isaac Kole captured first place in the 800m with an IC4A qualifying time of 1:52.82 while Grant West had the sixth-fastest mark at 1:59.27. Johnathon Johnson won the 3,000m with a time of 8:57.48 while Andrew Jackson was sixth in the 5,000m. The Mount's 4x800m relay team of West, Kole, Brandon Briscoe and John Wang finished first with a time of 8:02.10 as well. Mikhail Brown was fourth in the high jump (1.96m) with Spencer Brown finishing tied for third in the long jump (6.80m). D.J. Hamilton added third place in the triple jump (13.64m) for the Mount as well. Ucheyan Aguoru finished fifth in the 60m dash with an IC4A qualifying time of 6.97 seconds.
At George Mason, Carter Nave finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.86m, moving him into third on the Mount's all-time list. Rene Rosso and Delaney McKnight posted a one-two finish in the high jump with each clearing 1.55m.
The Mount indoor track and field teams return to action next weekend with athletes competing at Penn State, Navy and Susquehanna.
