2018-19 INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD RECAP
The Mount St. Mary's women's indoor track and field team captured its first Northeast Conference Championship in 22 years. The Mountaineers claimed the title with 138 team points, 33 ahead of second place Fairleigh Dickinson (105). Erin Jaskot was named the meet's most valuable performer. Kayla Barnes was named Most Outstanding Performer (Sprints), Erin Sample was Most Outstanding Performer (Throws), and Dominique Jeffery took home Co-Rookie of the Meet. On the men's side, they finished sixth at the Northeast Conference Indoor Championships with 70 team points. Nicolas Fransham finished second in the 5,000m run while Mitchel Wileczek came in fifth. Matthew Selba paced the Mountaineers in the weigh throw coming in fourth. Both teams will look to build on their 2018-19 success in their opening meets this weekend.
