MOUNT UPDATE
After three tight losses to tough competition to open the season, the Mountaineers got in the win column on Friday with a 16-7 victory over UMBC. Brenden McCarthy (2g, 5a), Stephano Mastro (5g, 1a) and Chris DiPretoro (4g, 1a) combined for 18 points to lead the Mountaineers to the win. Rookie Luke Mutterer performed well in his first career start in the Mount cage, posting a seven-save performance and a .500 save percentage to collect the victory.

With the 16-goal performance, the Mount has now registered 10 or more goals in four straight games to open the 2018 campaign, marking the first time in program history the team has begun a season with four straight double-digit goal games in its Division I era (1989-present). The last time the Mount registered 10-plus goals in four straight games at any point in a season was back in 2005.

SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
The Hoyas opened the 2018 campaign with three straight victories over High Point (15-5), Robert Morris (12-11) and Towson (12-10). Georgetown is averaging 13.0 goals per game on the year, led by Daniel Bucaro (10g, 7a) and Jake Carraway (11g, 2a). Nick Marrocco has started all three games in goal, posting a .547 save percentage and 8.43 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Mount and Georgetown will meet for the 16th straight season in the matchup on Tuesday. The two teams have split the last two matchups, with Mountaineers posting an 11-8 win in 2016, before the Hoyas responded with an 11-9 victory last season in Emmitsburg. In the contest last season, Chris DiPretoro led the Mount with four points on three goals and one assist.
