Boston, Mass. (March 5, 2017)--Mount St. Mary's senior Julian Woods finished in eighth place in the finals of the 60m hurdles at the IC4A Championships today.
Woods posted a time of 8.24 seconds in the finals to earn his eighth-place finish. Recapping yesterday's events again, Woods advanced to the semifinals with a time of 8.22 seconds in the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles before posting a time of 8.26 seconds to qualify for the finals. Chavis finished sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 18.32m (60' 1.25").
Christopher Gabor finished in fourth place in the heptathlon with 5,017 points. He had a time of 7.16 seconds in the 60m dash (826 points), had a long jump of 6.50m (697 points), a mark of 11.62m in the shot put (583 points) and a high jump of 183m (653 points) to tally 2,759 points on the first day. Today, Gabor posted a time of 8.95 seconds in the 60m hurdles (757 points), a pole vault of 4.55m (775 points) and a time of 2:53.84 in the 1,000m run (726 points).
Brenden Chavis finished sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 18.32m (60' 1.25"). Julian Woods qualified for the semifinals with a time of 8.22 seconds in the 60m hurdles, and he then earned a spot in Sunday's finals with a time of 8.16 seconds in the semifinals.
Kenedi Facey finished 16th in the long jump (5.01m) while Maddie Kole ran a time of 2:17.67 in the prelims of the 800m run.
