ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mountaineers have won two of their last three contests to improve to 3-4-1 overall through the opening eight games this season as they sit in second place in the Northeast Conference. Last Friday, the Mount posted its first shutout of the season, topping Temple by a 2-0 final for its first-ever win over the Owls in program history. Junior Chloe Cain scored her NEC-leading second game-winning goal on the year and Jaylyn Chandler added an insurance tally as the Mount claimed its third victory, matching the team's win total from a season ago.

The Mount's top three scorers on the year, Cain, Chandler and Jenna West, are all tied for fourth in the Northeast Conference in goals (2) and points (5) this season. The trio has accounted for much of the Mount's offense in the early going, combining for six of the team's eight goals. Keeper Maddy Bunnell, who posted her first shutout with the Mountaineers last Friday, owns a 1.94 goals against average and .733 save percentage, while ranking fifth in the conference with 5.50 saves per contest.

WEEKLY AWARDS SWEEP
On Monday, the Mount claimed a Northeast Conference weekly awards sweep as Cain earned NEC Player of the Week honors, Bunnell was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week, and Chandler was named Rookie of the Week. It marked the first time in program history that Mount players have collected each of the three honors in the same week. Mount St. Mary's players have won five weekly awards this year, tying a program record for most in a season.
