The Mount had an opportunity to get on the board in the 30th minute of play following a Howard foul in the box resulting in the first penalty kick of the day for the Mount. Sophomore Jenna West tried to slot the ball into the lower left corner, but keeper Mackenzie Diotte turned her away with a diving stop as the game remained even.

The Bison responded just over 10 minutes later on a penalty kick of their own. A foul in the box by the Mountaineer defense gave Sandra Bond an opportunity, and she converted the PK for her first goal of the season, evening the game at 1-1 with just over 27 minutes remaining in regulation.
Maddy Bunnell played a big role in keeping the game tied late in the second half for the Mountaineers as the keeper stoned Kela Gray on a breakaway opportunity with 22 minutes showing on the clock, and followed with an outstretched diving save on a Hollie Cartwright shot just four minutes later.
The Mountaineers and Bison remained tied through the end of regulation, continuing the battle into a pair of overtime periods. The second extra frame provided some action with a combined seven shots from the two teams, but neither squad was able to find the game-winner, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
Bunnell finished with five saves in the Mountaineers' net, while Diotte stopped three shots for the Bison.
