Brian Sagendorf Breaks School Record in Javelin at Penn Relays to Pace Mount Track on Saturday.

SAINT FRANCIS OPEN RESULTS | PENN RELAYS RESULTS

April 30, 2016--Brian Sagendorf broke the school record in the javelin at the Penn Relays to pace the Mount St. Mary's Track and Field teams on Saturday.

Sagendorf's season-best toss of 65.65m (215' 4") broke the Mount record and was good for a fourth-place finish in the College Division in the javelin at the Penn Relays.

Also at the Penn Relays on Saturday, Chase Boyle (55.38m, 17th) and Brenden Chavis (48.81m, 27th) competed in the college division of the hammer throw. On Friday, Julian Woods posted a time of 53.80 seconds in the 400m hurdles to finish in 14th place.

Also on Saturday, the Mount track teams participated in the Red Flash Open hosted by Saint Francis University.  Jessica Whitmore won the 100m dash (12.46) to pace the Mountaineers at the meet.  Isabel Ross finished second in the long jump (5.52m) while Colin Waitzman won the pole vault (4.40m) for the men.  Kody Wilson was fourth in the 800m run (1:56.10) with Andrew Lapreziosa placing third in the 100m (11.30).

The Mount track teams are back in action at the 2016 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 7 and 8.  The NEC Championships are being hosted by Central Connecticut State this year.
