Philadelphia, Pa. (April 28, 2016)—Mount St. Mary's junior Kelly Yanucil won the javelin in the championship division at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday night.
Yanucil took first place with a throw of 50.11m (164' 4") to beat High Point's Christine Rickert (49.70m, 163').
Natalia Hinton finished in 10th place in the college division of the long jump with a leap of 5.60m (18' 4.5") while Mariah Fitzgerald tied for 19th in the college division of the pole vault with a mark of 3.50m. Erin Sample finished 28th in the college shot put with a mark of 12.09m (39' 8").
The meet continues tomorrow.
