MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mount lost at Bryant, 12-7, on Tuesday afternoon to fall to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the Northeast Conference.  Mark Hojnoski scored a pair of goals in the opening five and a half minutes to help the Mount take a 3-2 advantage.  Bryant responded by scoring the final four goals of the first quarter and the first two of the second to take an 8-3 lead.  The Mount cut the deficit to 10-6 early in the fourth quarter, but Bryant scored the next two goals to seal the win.  Hojnoski posted a hat trick in the game while Bubba Johnson added a pair of goals.

ABOUT WAGNER:  Wagner defeated Sacred Heart, 11-8, last Saturday to improve to 6-7 overall and 1-3 in the Northeast Conference.  Four players each had two goals in the game while freshman goalkeeper Matt Sefcik made 14 saves in the winning effort.  William McMenamin leads Wagner with 24 goals while Andrew Streilein has 18 goals and 21 assists for a team-best 39 points.  Patrick McMenamin (15g, 13a) also has double figures in goals this season.  Sefcik has a 10.02 goals against average and a .502 save percentage while starting all 13 games in goal.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  Mount St. Mary's is 14-1 all-time aainst Wagner in the series that started in 2000.  The Seahawks posted their first win against the Mount last year, 6-5, in overtime.  The Mount is 8-0 all-time at home against Wagner, including a 9-5 win in 2014.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING:  Wagner's Paul DeVita scored with 2:29 left in the first overtime to lift the Seahawks to a 6-5 win over the Mount last season.  Five different Mount players scored in the game while Kyle O'Brien had seven caused turnovers.  After Wagner took a 2-0 lead, the Mount rebounded by scoring the first three goals of the second quarter to take the lead.  Ryan Lamon scored with 2:26 left in the third quarter to grab a 5-4 lead heading into the final quarter.  Wagner's DeVita proved to be the difference maker, tying the game with an unassisted goal with 6:32 left in regulation before scoring the game-winner in overtime.  Wagner outshot the Mount 34-27 in the game, including a 14-to-2 margin in the fourth quarter and overtime.  Wagner also held a narrow 28-27 edge in ground balls while winning 9-of-15 face-offs in the game.
