Mount St. Mary's Women's Soccer Falls at Saint Francis U

Loretto, Pa. (October 9, 2016) – Mount St. Mary's University fell by a 2-0 margin at Saint Francis U on Sunday afternoon in Northeast Conference women's soccer action at Stokes SoccerPlex.

Abigail Tarosky scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the eighth minute of play, finishing off a feed from Sara Suler for her second goal of the season.

The Red Flash got some insurance in the 71st minute as Gabi Morales netted her first goal of the year to push the Saint Francis U advantage to 2-0. Suler and Alyssa McGhee picked up assists on the play.

Julia Hernan registered four saves in 90 minutes of play in net for the Red Flash to collect her fourth win of the season. Maddy Bunnell took the loss for the Mount despite making a career-high 13 saves.

The Mount returns to action on October 14 for a home match against Bryant at 4 p.m. in Emmitsburg.
