Box Score

Emmitsburg, Md. (October 16, 2016) – Kasia Bak's early second half goal lifted Robert Morris to a 1-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's University in a Northeast Conference women's soccer tilt Sunday afternoon at Waldron Family Stadium.

Bak's 50th minute goal, which proved to be the game-winner, was assisted by Kristina Kelley and Shannon Reagan. Kelley intercepted a pass in the Colonials' defensive end and sent a long pass to Reagan, who flicked a header to a streaking Bak. Bak went in on a breakaway and slotted a low shot to the bottom right corner to give Robert Morris a 1-0 lead.

The Mount nearly tied the game with just over 15 minutes remaining in regulation as Gianna Pomykacz fired a shot from 18 yards out, but was turned away by a diving Serena Donmoyer.

Robert Morris was able to hold the Mount off the board in the remaining 15-plus minutes to secure the victory and move to 4-11 overall and 2-3 in NEC play. Following the loss, the Mount drops to 4-9-1 on the year and 0-4 in conference.

Donmoyer made three stops in net for the Colonials, securing her first victory of the season, while Maddy Bunnell took the loss in a four-save effort.

The Mount returns to action on Friday (Oct. 21) at LIU Brooklyn. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m., and action can be seen for free on NECFrontRow.com.
