COMPLETE RESULTS
Jacksonville, Fla. (May 28, 2015)—Mount St. Mary's University sophomore Kelly Yanucil (Bordentown, N.J.) and senior Heather Juhring (Logan Township, N.J.) competed in the women's javelin at the NCAA East Preliminary on Thursday afternoon.
Yanucil narrowly missed advancing to the NCAA Division I Championships, finishing in 14th place in the field of 48 competitors with a toss of 48.04m (157' 7"). She finished just five inches behind the 12th place finisher (Ashley Aldredge, Northwestern St., 48.17m, 158'). The top 12 finishers advanced to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore, June 10-13.
Juhring, who participated in the NCAA East Preliminary in each of her four seasons, had a throw of 42.06m (138') to finish in 41st place.
