Princeton, N.J. (May 16, 2015)—Kelly Yanucil finished in second place in the javelin to pace the Mount St. Mary's men's and women's track and field teams at the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
Yanucil had a throw of 48.26m (158-4) to earn second place at the meet to earn All-East honors. Teammate Heather Juhring posted an eighth-place mark of 42.17m (138-4) for the Mountaineers as well.
Sara Gardner advanced to the semifinals the 100m hurdles, posting times of 14.25 in the preliminary round and 14.31 in the semis. Moriah Fitzgerald competed in the pole vault, finishing 22nd with a mark of 3.56m (11-8), while Jessica Whitmore finished 20th in the 100m dash with 12.44 seconds. Natalia Hinton had a 15th-place mark in the long jump (5.42m, 17-9.5).
On the men's side, Chase Boyle was 23rd in the hammer throw (54.62m, 179-2) while Josh Poole was finished 18th in the 400m dash (48.77).
On Friday, Kristen Galligan finished 26th in the 10,000m run with a time of 38:18.58.
