RESULTS
Lewisburg, Pa. (April 18, 2015)--The Mount St. Mary's track and field teams had four first-place finishes in a successful day at the Bucknell Team Challenge on Saturday. Genamarie McCant (Fairfax, Va.) won the 400m dash, Moriah Fitzgerald (West Grove, Pa.) won the pole vault, Chase Boyle (Morris Plains, N.J.) won the hammer throw and Josh Poole (Ellicott City, Md.) won the 400m dash to pace the teams at the meet.
McCant took home first-place honors in the 400m dash with a mark of 56.49 seconds, finishing ahead of teammate Desi Scott (Prince George, Va.) who finished second in a time of 57.88 seconds. Fitzgerald won the pole vault with a mark of 3.57m (11' 8.75").
Natalia Hinton (Roselle, N.J.) finished third in the long jump (5.70m, 18' 8.5") with Helena Leyrer (Dorothy, N.J.) finishing third in the 100m hurdles. Jill Greenwald (Columbia, Md.) was fourth in the steeplechase (11:59.76) with Jessica Whitmore (Chambersburg, Pa.) earning fifth place in the 100m dash (12.36). Ali Donahue (Wall, N.J.) added a fourth-place mark in the hammer throw (50.14m, 164' 6")
For the men, Poole won the 400m dash with a time of 47.95 seconds while Boyle's winning toss in the hammer throw was 52.27m (171' 6").
Julian Woods (Sykesville, Md.) was fourth in the 110m hurdles (15.07) and third in the 400m hurdles (55.28). D.J. Workcuff (North Beach, Md.) was third in the 100m dash (11.02) for the Mountaineers.
The Mount is back in action at the Penn Relays this week.
